Frozen Twinkies® Pop Mummies
Twinkies snack cakes are dipped in chocolate then striped with white icing and two candy eyeballs to create a platter of Twinkies snack cake Pop Mummies!
Ingredients
- 1 box Twinkies
- 12 oz. Chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp vegetable or canola oil
- Assorted colors of icing
- Candy eyes
- Sprinkles
Directions
Remove Twinkies snack cake from wrapper and skewer a chopstick in each one. Place on a tray in your freezer and freeze for 2 hours or more.
In the meantime, melt 12 oz. chocolate chips in your microwave or saucepan on low heat until fully melted. Whisk in 2 Tbsp. vegetable or canola oil until smooth. Pour in a large glass and dip each frozen Twinkies snack cake in the glass until fully covered in chocolate.
Place on a wax paper lined tray and in your refrigerator until hardened.
Use different colors of icing to make horizontal zig zag stripes throughout each chocolate covered Twinkies snack cake until you create each mummy. Add eyes to the top of the Twinkies snack cake and decorate with sprinkles.
